I've never made inchies before, but personally I think it's neat to see dimensional ones :3 Also, I've painted and initialed the backs of all the inchies for this swap. Something that ties them all together even though they're fifteen different themes going to three different people Smiley

I have a word doc that I print out that says "Inchies by Smmarrt, 2011." I cut and paste (when I remember) and attach to the backs of the inchies I make. I will just write in the "R" and the "Tw" for this bunch.

I like having the names on the back, even tho I have no fixed way to save/display my collection. For now they reside in a clear food storage container and I look thru them when I need ideas...

I had a very productive day today, but now I have some questions:  Does an inchie (R, T) need to be flat or can it be a bit dimensional? and should the backs be decorated, or labeled, or signed, or plain?  I have no idea what I'm doing  Huh

Oh, and I received from Mintdawn today, heading over to the swap gallery now, they're super cute!!!

From what I have experienced, the fun lies in....  whatever idea you have, go with it.  Dimension is always welcome, and sometimes a drawn inchie (etc) will be as eye catching as something with a bunch of different embellishments.  Some people ask their partners if they are going to go totally 3-D, in case they are framing.  I never do because I've always stuck to elements that are pretty flat and would lay well if framed.

I've seen all types of backs too.  Some people stamp something simple on every one, some title and sign, some leave plain.  I sign mine, and I if I receive ones where there's nothing on the back, I sign for my partner. Just because I always want to remember which ones came from who.

Arrgh! Perhaps not all of mine will be signed.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

I am eager to get started on mine.  I made a whole sheet of art in a fit of inspiration from a dream, but the realized that the theme didn't fit any of my partner's themes.  Hah.  Maybe I'll aim better when I'm awake!

So it's like 100 degrees this whole weekend...boyfriend is gone and I'm holing up in the living room with a curtain over the doorway and I'm just gonna sleep on the couch to have to only cool one room...but I need to rig some sort of wall to block the A/C from blowing inchies all over the place, and then I will do nothing but watch weeks of SYTYCD that I am behind on and make Inchies rinchies and twinchies!

Looking for book page paper flowers for my sister's wedding!  Will do personal swaps/swaps for supplies (available listed here) Thanks!
