In anticipation of Burning Man I've been cranking out leggings. It's great having a go-to project for whenever I come across a really amazing fabric.
(stripey lycra)
(cotton jersey)

(stretch velvet)

Wear them with your costume to keep you warm on the playa, or put them under a dress for going out to dinner. They don't take up a lot of space, are comfortable to wear, and can go with anything. Plus, I like making them--working on my new serger is more like playtime.

Love the striped black and white ones.  They'd be so great with anything!

I like the second pair. Oh and the green ones (which is my favorite color).

You forgot to mention (judging by the fabu pictures) that they're amazing for dancing and yoga!

Thanks all! I'm in the process of making more, particularly of the black and white striped. 13 pairs of leggings in one day! I'm getting tired!

My friend Svetlana modeled all of these in my alley in exchange for a belly full of Thai food. She does aerial silk and was a fantastic model!

Yay leggings!

These are so fun!!! I love the tropical looking ones the most.

Do you use a pattern for each pair, or do you just know how to make them now? It seems to me that 13 pairs in a day using a pattern would get quite tiring. Maybe that's just cause I'm impatient and I don't like the time it takes to pin and cut the pieces Tongue
