My daughter and I love the song 'Treehugger' by Kimya Dawson http://www.kimyadawson.com/. Every time I sing it to her I visualise the lyrics and started thinking that I could embroider them for her for her birthday. So here they are with their accompanying lyrics!

The flower said i wish I was a tree

The tree said I wish I could be a different kind of tree

The cat wished that it was a bee

The turtle wished that it could fly, really high into the sky, over rooftops and then dive, deep into the sea

And in the sea there is a fish, a fish that has a secret wish, a wish to be a big cactus with a pink flower on it

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out - although the turtle is a little bland... I might have to fill-in the rooftops of the houses or something to introduce some colour.

Anyway, hope my daughter likes them!

cute! that's a great present. what if you added a lighter shade of green to some of the turtles shell, instead of the rooftop?

One of my favorite songs by Kimya Dawson and this is perfect!

I love your palm tree.
