Well.... I stayed up all night the other night trying to make my dad a chainmaille keychain. I couldn't do it. I wanted to make the fish keyring (http://borealismetalworks.deviantart.com/art/Fish-Key-Ring-Tutorial-192600805), but I couldn't because I can't do HP 3-1, which is why I was up all night. I tried to learn HP 3-1. The next night, I spent most of the day again trying to do HP 3-1 and still could not do it. After these two days of screaming, cussing, and crying, and having to fight the urge to chuck my pliers at the big screen, I gave up. I was going to just do a boring old card. But today, well yesterday now since it's 1:37am, I had an idea, I could still do it, but make a different type of keychain. I thought to myself "I can do a box weave, why not use that for a keychain?! I could even do a mobius at the bottom!!! ....How do you do a mobius ball? It doesn't look difficult.... Please let it be simple..." I broke out my pliers and some of my chainmaille supplies and set to work. I decided to start with the mobius ball. I went onto MAIL, found the tut for the mobius ball, and realized it was incredibly simple. Cheesy I added rings until the ball was to my liking, and then I linked the middle ring through it and set to work on the box weave. Some EU 4-1 turned box weave later, I attached everything, and had this beauty. I got the stamp of approval from my mom (She was back to being in awe instead of doubting me, yay Cheesy ), so now I just hafta give this to my dad when he gets home from work and has slept for a few hours :3

Maybe this will also put him into a good mood, because he and mom are helping me move today cuz I couldn't move yesterday cuz of the rain. (I'm moving in with my aunt and her boyfriend for at least my freshman year of college, and I need time to adjust to my aunt's place before I run off to eastern WA to go stay with my biological mom for a bit)

Well, here's the keychain Cheesy

It's made from a random key ring (obviously), the box weave is made from 18g 3/16" green anodized aluminum and 18g 3/16" rubber rings (It's stretchy but sturdy), and the mobius ball is made from 18g 1/4" anodized aluminum.

I really hope my dad likes this ^_^;;;

It's cute and much better than a fish that you swore at a lot!

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

Thanks Wink I like this better too but I wouldn't mind the fish if HP 3-1 wasn't so difficult for me @-@

He loved it, didn't he? Smiley

I love nonsense - it wakes up the brain cells!
