Hi there!  I've just recently (like, a week ago) moved cross country to Alberta, Canada.  I'm turning the big 30 on July 28th.  I'm at least a 14 hour drive from anyone I know (other than my boyfriend, we moved together), so I need some birthday love.   Smiley Him, me, and our little silky terrier are moving into a beautiful, very empty apartment that I'm excited about decorating in my crafty style.  I don't have a job here (yet) but usually work in museums and heritage. I'm probably going to go back to school and do graphic design next year though.  In my spare time I belly dance and sew like a mofo.

Likes: vintage style, natural fabrics, buttons, green, earthy colours, rhinoceroses, cephalopods, forest themes (mushrooms, deer, trees etc), polka dots, stripes

Dislikes: pink, purple, neon, scenty things

Allergies: nothing serious but I have the most sensitive skin ever so body products (lotions, soap) are sketchy for me unless it is very gentle and totally unscented.

My underused wist is http://www.wists.com/retromaid.  I like surprises and everything home-made so don't be afraid to deviate from my list!

  • Hoop or other small wall art to decorate my new place - I want to start an "eclectic art wall" (big art welcome too, but not expected)
  • Tea towels or cloth napkins
  • coiled fabric basket (I love them but am scared to make them for some reason)
  • cushion covers
  • simple a-line ish skirt (pockets a bonus!)
  • pillow/bed for my dog (cat-sized is perfect for him, he needs something warm on my shiny new hardwood)--- Thanks Biochic!  Cheesy
  • dryer balls
  • decorated hand towels for the bathroom
  • vintage-ish full apron (I'm always getting things on my shirt)
  • recipes (we like to eat EVERYTHING except seafood)
  • table top ironing pad
  • anything made of lacy crochet (love it, can't do it) ------Thank you Burgz!!  Smiley
  • thread catcher for under my sewing machine(s)
  • needle book (I seriously need one)
  • tote/slouch/bag style purse for when I'm out and about and make small purchases
  • reusable shopping bag(s)

  • red cotton fabrics in 4" squares or larger for a red quilt I'm working on
  • drawing pencils/pens (I need to practice drawing to include in my application portfolio for art school, if I indeed go)
  • fabric - small or large pieces, I got rid of SO MUCH when I moved.  Thrifted is a-ok.
  • vintage/used lace
  • vintage/used buttons
  • patterns (1940s/1950s totally a bonus, but not necessary)
  • fabric to make my first poppet
  • more buttons (I am kind of obsessed)
  • used sewing/quilting/crafting magazines

Hi my name is Amy and I will be 31 on July 26th I live in Missouri. This will be my first swap and I am super excited! I am pretty easy to craft for since I love anything scify.

Okay so I've been told I might want to make this a little more personal... I'll give it a try.

1. I'd love to get  a Firefly themed shirt, bracelet or painting/wall handing

2. I would love a Dr. Who Tradis necklace. I love the scrabble tile ones in my wist a lot

3. I have a weeping angel in my wish also that someone made from a barbie, It's awesome.

4. I always need hoops for embroidery

5. I really Really need a needle book, again is it was scify themed it would be amazing!

6. I love the painted shoes that people are making with different things on them, I saw a pair with the van gough exploding tardis ones that were really great.

7. well that's all I can come up with right now. Please message me if you have any quesions!

I have a wist....

so you can see the kind of stuff I love

I'd love to get a Hoop with a dr. who, starwars, stargate, star trek type theme.

Anything with Garden gnomes is good too!

and Owls, on just about anything.

I recently bought a house and for the first time I am getting to make it into the home I want, so I will be decorating with scify stuff, but with a girls twist, if that makes any since.

I'd like to have a geeky charm bracelet.

I really need a needle book and or a little travel case for taking my embroidery with me.

as far a craft supplies go I am doing embroidery pretty much all the time right now. It's to hot for knitting, my other love. But I would also like to learn to make the scrabble tile jewelry I see on here if anyone wanted to make me a how to kit... I love the Tardis on a tile necklace that is on my wist.

And of course I'd love any surprise off my Wist or Etsy favorite!
If you need any more info please message me, as I said this is my first swap on here and I want to make sure I do everything right!

Thanks for including me!

Hi crafty craftsters! My name is Autumn. I recently graduated from Western Oregon University with my bachelor's degree in biology and a minor in chemistry and moved with my boyfriend to Idaho to be with my mom while she goes under chemotherapy for stage 4 colon cancer. I've been studying ballet since I was itty-bitty and love performing, and will be auditioning for a local production of Rocky Horror Picture Show soon. We are in the process of adopting a greyhound (we'll have him or her in September!), and are looking for a new place, which I'm super excited to decorate! We're also very involved in our airsoft team, which we organize LARP games for based on the Fallout game series (we play raiders). Oh, and we home-brew our own wines and meads!

-A doormat for our new place.
-Hair clippies with feathers/flowers/bows.

Hey everyone! I’m Rose, my I am turning 24 on the 23rd.  I live in Nantucket, MA with my boyfriend and my cat and I work at an auction gallery and the library.  I am studying to be a librarian and love to read, cook, craft and ride my bicycle.  I pretty much ride everywhere.

I love earth tones and grey scale as well as mustard and teal. I love graphic designs and bold color combinations.  I adore mid century modern and art deco aesthetics.  I am very eclectic in my style and like the idea of mismashing contrasting ideas like industry and nature.

I am not the biggest fan of pink but it’s okay in small doses and am allergic to pineapple extracts (fragrance and flavor).

I would adore:

1.   An embroidered dinosaur machine cover for my Janome Sewist 500 that matches my new hoop from paper_rose in the hoopla color spectrum swap.
2.   Anything relating to the Chrysler building
3.   a catchall purse with zipper (fun graphic prints, maybe with some interior pockets)
4.   a coin purse
5.   a wallet for cards and a bit of cash
6.   a printed t-shirt with tattoo flash art
7.   lime/citrus soap
8.   earrings (dangly ones)
9.   hair accessories (fascinators, hair clips, headbands...my hair is pretty short and really dark)
10.   something squid related (I am reading this book called Kraken right now and the author is coming to speak next week!)
11.   old time-y scientific drawing stuff
12.   medical oddities (I love the mutter museum!)
13.   perpetual calendar thanks calluna!
14.   lacy shawl
15.   *******surprises********

1.   Fun colored sewing thread
2.   diamond glaze
3.   yarn (natural fibers please)
4.   fun graphic fabrics especially cotton
5.   buttons, ribbon, trims
6.   earring hooks
7.   stitch markers
8.   stitch counters

black teas
local postcards
local potato chips (I drove around the country last year and made it a point to sample local versions of one of my favorite foods while I had the chance)
pretty much anything local and interesting
vintage catalogs
books (I am willing to try anything as long as someone thinks it’s worth reading)
notecards (blank or decorated)

Thank you so much in advance and Happy Birthday to All!!
