I entered into a personal swap with GoldenSunshine for some beads she wanted to destash, so I offered to make her a purse. I looked through her wists, and then through my fabric stash, and found a lovely vintageish patterned cotton that I had picked up in a bundle of remnants that felt similar to some of the things she said she liked.

She just asked that it had a strap long enough to be worn on the shoulder, and that it have a separate pocket for her phone.

I sent her a note explaining where everything came from, and she enjoyed it, so I'll share with you all too Wink The ribbon came from my grandmother's stash, the buttons (there's two of them stacked) came from a collection of buttons I picked up at a thrift store. I highly suspect both the buttons and the ribbon were manufactured in the 70s.

The inside zipper was removed from some old clothes - I'm not sure what, though. Probably pants. I learned how to insert zippers better *after* making this bag, so I wish I could do it, oops.

The fabric was interfaced and the whole thing was lined in satin. Also, I tucked a nice little selection of vintage buttons that also came from that collection I picked up for her to keep.
