I did a Valentine's Day swap this year (as you have probably guessed, I am rather behind in uploading my projects to here!) where the aim was to make "old school" style Valentine's. Australian kids don't really do Valentine's, so I was really keen to try out this tradition with my American swappers!

I used polymer clay and a sharp razer blade to create these little diamonds, which I then painted with my husband's Warhammer army paints. The red ones were my favourite because I liked how the gold dry-brush turned out on them, but I also did silver and gold.

I used small pieces of felt and E6000 to attach them to hairclips and I was really pleased with how they turned out! ^___^

I made the cards from kraft and scrapbooking paper and attached the hairclips to the front with washi-tape. I was informed that puns are an essential part of children's Valetine's gifts, so I had to include one on my cards ~___^

My next attempt at sculpting was these skull and bone hairclips, just for me this time! ^___^ I painted them with a mixture of acrylic and Warhammer paints, and then used glitter mod podge on the bones to make them sparkle ^____^

(My hair has changed rather dramatically since February!) I haven't done any sculpting since high school, but it's something I want to practice more. Hopefully I can improve my skills over my next couple of projects! ^___^

The clips are adorable (I like the diamond ones best!) but oh my gosh, your hair!!  I *love* it (both ways)!!!

Swapping up a storm here!  Totally open to personal swaps - I am always in need of awesome stuff Wink

Thanks rockmygypseysoul! My hair is also DIY! In February it was a mixture of Voodoo Blue and Violet Nights (both by Manic Panic) and then in April I cut off seven inches and did it all completely in Voodoo Blue ^____^
