I am making favors for a bridal shower that I have no other hand in planning or organizing.  All I have to go by is the invitation I received, which I am posting here. The shower is at a resataurant.  I was told "fun and casual" so... I will try to avoid boring and formal!  Any super ideas come to mind? I haven't been to any bridal showers in years! I only have 2 weeks :p

I've wanted a good reason to make these ever since I first saw them. They might make good favours! http://modernmomentsdesigns.com/2010/12/09/mini-cupcake-stand-diy-tutorial/

You could put anything on top of them. maybe candy, placecards, etc. even candles or little flower pots Smiley

Good luck!

Those are adorable, maybe if I get wedding cake shaped candles I could use those as a cake stand?

I am so busy getting my fairy making under way, prepping for a weekend visit from my out of state parents and doing a pokemon swap (aside from the 50000 normal life things mommy-people do...I've been sitting in this tire shop all day, for example!!) The favor ideas just aren't  flowing!

maybe you can buy little clay pots and paint them to match the card. you can plant a seed in it or position a lollipop or a fake flower in it.

I wanted to make these at one time and had them book marked.  I might have gotten the link from someone on this site.  If so, sorry I don't remember who.

I like the idea of the diy favor packaging in the colors of the invite with some coordinating candy or candy you know the bride likes in it....ohoh or little glass jars (you can get them at craft stores) with candy in them and ribbon with a thank you tag tied around the top. I like these http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/glass-jar-with-round-dome-lid-127126/

or this http://shop.hobbylobby.com/store/item.aspx?ItemId=153617 you could decorate the top a bit more, with glitter or something

I'm doing my sisters bridal shower and we're doing a kitchen/recipe/pot luck theme(everyone is bringing their favorite kitchen tool and recipe as a gift, then we're going to make her a cook book at the shower, everyone making their own page) and we're going to give out heart shaped cookie cutters with sugar cookie recipes tied to them with ribbon.

I hope you find something in time! Grin

Love; it will not betray you, dismay, or enslave you. It will set you free, to be more like the man you were made to be. There is a design, an alignment, a cry of my heart to see the beauty of love as it was made to be.
