I have a serious amount of batting scraps that I just can't bear to throw in the garbage....

I got creative and started making them into pillow forms.  It's super easy and can save you a few dollars also!

Simply cut two batting squares/rectangles 1" larger than the size form you want.  Keep all the excess....you will need it later.  (I wanted a 14"x14" square, so these were cut 15"x15")

Sew the two pieces together and leave a 3-4" opening (1/2" seam allowance).  Turn and stuff with excess batting scraps taking care to not make lumps!

Sew the opening up and you're done!  Put your form inside a cover!

I have more detailed info and images on my tutorial here: http://sewplicity.blogspot.com/2011/05/tutorial-make-your-own-pillow-form.html

Ooh, I love it! I always buy pillow forms because I hate how lumpy stuffing is, but this might be a cheaper alternative. Thanks for sharing!

Great idea!  I've been hoarding my batting scraps hoping to find a use for them!
