As I become more proficient at posting on Craftster, I am enjoying posting projects!!

I made this mini quilt as a going-away present for a friend a few years ago (2007).  It was about 1.5 ft by 2.5 ft.
At the time, I was just beginning to get into applique quilting.

The bird came from a sketch of my own design.  I love how the fabrics complement each other, and how the branch stretches onto the border.

It took me a few hours to put together after I picked out the fabrics.

As always, C&C is always welcome.

Thanks for looking!

Lovely art quilt!
My favorite part is also the branch and how it stretches onto the border.

What a lovely present!  The combinations of fabrics are so cute and you can really see the care you put into it.
