So I've been off for the long weekend, Thursday to today & managed to finish 4 projects  Smiley

First an Easter Present for my sister as she's dieting so didn't want Chocolate this year, I've made a few bags for friends out of old jeans & she gave me a pair a while back so this is using the material from her jeans, lining fabric found on Ebay. Pattern was from pursepatterns.com

Second another Jeans bag for a friend who asked about a year ago for one out of an old pair of her jeans which she loved & had loads of cool pockets - took me ages to come up with a plan & get the courage to cut into her jeans.....then my machine broke (lesson learned in not sewing through too many layers of denim) I finally got it finished this weekend. I'm still not 100% certain I like it but I'm hoping she will. lining made from one of Hub's old shirts, strap made from the waistband of the jeans. This was my first go at putting in a zipper too

Third is a present for another friend's birthday in couple of weeks, she loves making cupcakes, so when I saw the pattern for this on pursepatterns.com I knew she'd love it for her birthday, bottom is made from thick cord fabric, top is a layer of plain cotton & a layer of taffetta I think with sparkly bits on it (a lot of the cupcakes she makes are covered in edible glitter) lining I found on Ebay & thought it suited perfectly

Last a present for a friend having a baby soon, I saw the tutorial for a baby change clutch on here a few weeks back from vibrant designs (link to her site http://www.vibrant-designs.net/2011/01/duo-pocket-changing-pad-tutorial.html) & thought it was a brilliant idea so I copied away - thanks  Smiley I stuggled with sewing through all the layers on the folded bit so did that by hand & instead of a velcro close I added a long strap that just gets wound round to hold it all in. Mine is made from an Amy Butler fabric with yellow fleece inside & there is a layer of plain terry towelling in between for absorbency in case of accidents (can all be machine washed no problem   Wink

Phew! C&C Welcome,

Next project is a knitting needle roll for another friend's birthday at the end of May, so I'm still planning that one...

I like how on the front of the first one, you made the pockets overlapping, and that you used the liner fabric to edge/accentuate the outside of the pockets.

And on the second one, the stitching around the outside looks very apparent.  I like that the raw edges on the pockets show, and love how you overlapped the pockets on the back side.

Well done!

The others are nice, too Smiley

Well done, I like the 1st one that the pocket overlaps & show some of the lining & also the pockets are cool. The second one I love, love, love it, the pockets are great & I like that you tilted them a little. Going to make one for my granddaughter before Nov. so am thinking & looking for neat designs. Zipper looks good & the lining is great, hubby's shirts are great for that! Oh....Your cupcake purse is sooooooo cute. Cheesy
The duo-pocket-changing-pad is cool too. I saw that one too. I have a friend due in June, so have to get that done for her.  Can't wait to see your knitting needle roll. All great job! Wink

Will do personal swaps!! I make Art Dolls/Junker Jane Dolls/Raggedy Ann & Andy Dolls/also TM Patches
