After being inspired by a previous post here on Craftster, I decided to have a go at designing my own Toothless pattern.  I'm very happy w/how he turned out.  I was told by a friend who has read the, "How to Train Your Dragon" series, that this how Toothless/a Night Fury is supposed to look.  I don't know, I've never read the series, even though I plan to over the summer.  I've only seen the movie.  I fell in love w/all the dragons in that movie.  I've made 3 Toothless' from Spirit of America's free pattern on DA.  I have to give Spirit of America credit because I deferred to her pictorial for leg, wing, fin, and spikes placement.  I gave my Toothless felt eyes, just in case this one goes to a child.  No kid should be going to bed w/a plastic toy.  They should have something soft to love on and cuddle with.  I love how his toes turned out!  He's not perfect though.  So, because I was learning as I went w/this guy, future Toothless' will be better.  I'm sad I couldn't capture the veins in his wings and fins w/the camera.  This guy is a prototype.  I won't be giving out the pattern.  Thanks for looking!  Enjoy!

Very nice! Are his eyes glowing? He does look nice and snuggly.

It is better to have crafted and failed then never to have crafted at all.
Yes, I am stalking the Toys and Playthings board. Thanks for noticing!
I'm cheating on Craftster with Pinterest. It's ok though. There's overlap.
