As the economy goes down, so have the craft shows.  It is harder and harder to find craft shows in eastern and southern Iowa.  Can anyone tell me how to find out information on the existing craft shows to see if they are taking new crafters?

You can try contacting your chamber of commerce for the town you live in, or for the towns you are willing to travel too. Some have great websites that are updated often, others not so much. The best bet is to call.

Nevada, IA has a SBWA craft fair in November that is around $75 to get into. Marshaltown has an event in September called the Oktember Fest that they are looking for vendors for and there is no jury. And you can check out Prarieland Herbs (http://www.prairielandherbs.com/)  in Woodward. Maggie is the owner. She collaberates with a few other local farms one Sunday a month to do Sample Sunday. I am not sure her availability, but you may be able to vend there.

I am just getting into craft fairs and such this year and I am scheduled to vend for the first time at Prairieland Herbs on June 12th.

I am a little nervouse  Undecided

Hope this helps!
