Ok, I know it is probably a little late to post now something for Easter decoration....but as I already mention I'm new here....so here it it what I did for some friends and for me to be hanged on an Easter tree  Grin

and here is the pattern:

3mm hook
100% acrylic yarn 1.7 oz = 182 yd (50g = 167m) balls, knitting needle 3.5-4, colors you like
12 mm bell
stitch marker
tapestry needle
2mm hook
thin yarn to be used with 2mm hook

ch =chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
() = work directions in brackets the number of times specified
rnd(s) =round(s)
st(s) = stitch (es)

Notes: Work in continuous rnds; do not join or turn unless otherwise instructed. Use a stitch marker or colored yarn between the last st of one rnd and first st of next rnd. Flip the end of the yarn to the front on one rnd then to the back of next rnd. Continue for each rnd. Leave yarn tail for sewing pieces together at the end.

Shape 1 bell:
Start a magic ring with 8 sc
Rnd 1: 2 sc in each st hiding starting yarn (16 sts)
Rnd 2: (sc in first st, 2 sc in next st) repeat 8 times (24 sts)
Rnds 3-11: sc in each st around (24 sts)
bind off with a sl st leaving long tail of yarn, with needle go in and out sts through the bell to reach the top of it. End with yarn towards the inside of bell, turn the inside of bell out and sew small bell inside (see picture)

ch 16, sew chain folded in half on top of bell

With 2mm hook and thin yarn, add 2 sc in each st of base of bell (round 11). If you do not have a 2mm hook you can use the 3mm hook and add one more round at the end of the bell with a yarn of an alternative color in respect to the main color of the bell.
Optional: with 2mm hook ch 36, fold in ring and sew it to 9th round of bell. Alternatively with 3mm hook ch 27, fold in ring and sew it to 9th round of bell.

Shape 2 bell:
Work the same as shape 1 until round 10
Rnd 11: (sc in first 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) repeat 8 times (32 sts)
Rnd 12: (sc in first 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) repeat 8 times (40 sts)
continue and complete as for shape 1

Size depends on your gauge, yarn and hook, mine are around 4cm (1.6in) tall.
If you like to download the pdf pattern you can find it on deviantART: http://cinciut.deviantart.com/art/Bells-amigurumi-pattern-203563231

Enjoy the bells!! Grin Grin Grin

They're sweet. They remind me of my childhood christmas decorations.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.
