So, I've been crochetting for years (one of the first crafty things I learned) but I'm fairly new to making amigurumi.  I signed up (for my first swap) for the Amigurumi Swap and let me just say, I think I'm addicted.  This is the first little guy I made. He's pretty easy, just squares and circles, but I think he turned out adorable, and now have to make more.

I'll admit, there was some angsting about chocolate-on-top versus chocolate-on-bottom but for the sake of melty cuteness, it went on top.  I used eyeshadow for the blush too, on a whim.

For my partner, I also made this dragon. He was a bit more complicated (getting the legs the same size baffled me) but, he's very ruffly and fleshy-pink, so I like em'.  I did the spiral-thing on the ends of his wings, to make him look a little less cartoonish.  The picture isn't the best, but he has eye sockets, and a ridge going all the way down his back, and a total fumanchu mustache.  If I had any idea how I made him, I'd make another, but honestly, he was kind of touch-and-go.  Now that I'm looking at it, this picture is really awful, lol.

Anyway, C&C welcome for my first ami's. *winces*

Sorry for being such a flake. Sad

The picture may not be professional quality, but I can see enough to think those wing spirals are inspired and a fu-manchu moustache is lovely.

P.S. if you have anymore trouble with legs in the future: chinese dragons don't have legs!

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

The first one is super cute! I love the rosy cheeks! I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only crocheter who makes characters without any pattern or clue of what will come next! Very nice job!
