A unicorn with wings (or a pegasus with a horn) is called an alicorn, according to the intrawebz. So what do you call a pink amigurumi alicorn that insists it is male???

He's pink acrylic with a pale pink polyester dollar-store yarn mane and tail (giving him a haircut was a fight and a half!). His legs have a wire armature inside them. His golden eyes are little dome buttons and his silver horn is made from metallic embroidery floss. His body is stuffed with more pink polyester yarn. I considered putting pale pink hock "feathers" on him, but I haven't decided yet.

He's freehand all the way! Aside from the general engineering I did in my head, he was shaped completely on the fly. His body, neck and head are one piece, while his legs were attached to holes left in his torso and the wings were attached where they looked good. His neck is angled upward through increasing on the bottom and decreasing on the top, simultaneously, while also decreasing the diameter overall. His proportions are a little weird, but he IS a mythological creature, after all. He doesn't necessarily have any relation to horses, birds or narwhals.

My only regret was not doing him spiraled, because you can see the join, which somehow DID spiral around his body. The spiraling join made the neck decreases an interesting endeavour. But, considering he was meant to amuse me and alleviate boredom, I'm quite happy with his oddness Tongue

Hehe, this had me cracking up! I love your pink male alicorn and his funky legs Smiley The fact that you did the shaping on the fly is really great! I think my favorite part is how you made the wings. They look fantastic and sit on his body really well.
You're gonna have to give him a name sometime here ^_~

This is awesome. The proportions remind me a lot of something out of Adventure Time.

He's fantastic -- With those skinny legs he looks like a baby colt just learning to walk.  Great job!

Never thought I'd say that about a pink unicorn with wings - but I like him! Grin

I don't know about alicorns but having some experience about male horses I would say he's missing some important parts  Wink

But he's really cool nevertheless. I would cuddle him, no doubt!
