I still cannot get over that theatre box... I think I am now inspired to make a larger scaled similar project... for my "fantasy" mantle Wink and tweak it to look all mystical-like Wink

Also.. I LOVE that crucifix!!! Great job on that! I am thinking that I need to make one of those now, too! That one just looks so pretty!

On another note, I am more nervous than ever about the matchbox I made. I see that it was received yesterday, and I am hoping she likes it.. My tummy has been in knots all day wondering... did it arrive safe and in one piece? did she like it? ahhh the suspense! lol!   Embarrassed

These boxes are so inspiring! I have tons of ideas now for the leftover boxes I have- I wonder if regular people would appreciate them as much as craftsters do...

lol at the "regular people" vs craftsters!  Grin
I know what you mean though and I think they would- my sister spotted one that I got in another swap and freaked out over it's tiny awesomeness (thank you Tree27 Grin), my sister-in-law saw the monster that suereal made me and I had to pat her down to make sure she didn't swipe it before she let my house because she wanted it so bad!

I received from amaryllisroze today! She created this tiny steampunk masterpiece for me:

I just love it. She used what I think is an old watch glass (watch face? Dunno what to call that part, but you know what I mean) to make a window in the front of the box. You get a little glimpse of the shrine inside...

This vintage lady adorned with tiny and beautiful watch gears! Isn't the composition just right? Love it.

Thank you so much aroze!

I love the idea of a matchbox shrine swap -- with two great shrines to inspire us, too. Wink

I also love the theatre box -- just beautiful.

I'm glad you like it! Its the casing of an old wristwatch. I flipped it over so you're seeing the back that would sit next to the wrist. I put a piece of mica in between that and the body of the box.

I received both of my matchboxes from StarFire and gozer this week and HOLY CANNOLI!! These girls hit the nail on the head as far as my taste is concerned. I'm feeling pretty spoiled.  Cheesy

I haven't taken pictures of gozer's box yet, but I'll share StarFire's now and finish up with gozer's tomorrow. Prepare to be jealous, folks.

StarFire's matchbox was wrapped in a box with a cute tag and a large amount of this pretty ribbon. This isn't the best picture of it, but it works.

Inside was my matchbox and a tube of sparkly flower-shaped glitter. I forgot to take a picture of the glitter.  Tongue
The matchbox is seriously adorable, though. I'm in love with these little owls! See for yourself...

Here's a picture of everything stuffed inside!

And finally, here's all of my goodies laid out. (Notice the matchbox's cute interior!)

There's a cute little sock monkey brad (How did you know I love sock monkeys?),
a snake brad (or maybe he's a bookworm, hence the glasses. Either way, he's cute.),
a turtle charm,
a deer charm,
a toadstool bead,
a sparkly green heart bead,
a nest charm,
two wishbone charms,
a magnet with a picture of a birdy and a few mushrooms on it (already on my fridge),
adorable owl earrings (already in my ears),
paper leaves,
four pretty blue beads,
two sparkly paper owls,
three sparkly paper trees (this paper is gorgeous! Like Edward Cullen in the sunlight! Wink ),
and ten pieces of miniature paper artwork, all lovely!

Here are some close-ups for good measure.

I am floored with how fantastic my boxes are. I hope mine measure up!  Undecided

Thanks for a wonderful swap, StarFire! I can't wait for you and gozer to get your boxes!
