Craft Challenge #62 Ode to Earth - Due May 2 - May 8

Winner announced!
Congrats to Frogglin for her winning entry!

Check out the full project thread here!

05/09/11 Time to Vote!

Scroll to the top of the page to see the voting poll!

You must be logged in to vote. Smiley

05/03/11 Time to Enter!

Post your entry as a new project thread on the entry board here:

April 22 is Earth Day!  Any occasion that honors Earth and all of its beauty is reason enough for a crafty challenge celebration! Smiley  Your challenge this month is to create a projects with an obvious Earth theme or tribute.

You can use any supplies or techniques desired for your project, but it must have an obvious Earth theme.  What is an obvious theme or tribute?  Use your best judgment.  When someone sees your project, it should be easily recognizable that the focus is Mother Earth. Smiley  Here are some projects that are great examples of this theme.  Hopefully they'll inspire you!

  • Craft your project during this challenge period (Apr 4 - May 8 2011) only.  Projects created before this timeframe will not be removed from the entry board, but they will be excluded from the voting poll.
  • Post your craft during the period of May 2 - May 8 2011.  No sooner.  No later.  On May 2 2011 there will be a special folder created for entries.
  • Voting will happen from May 9 - May 16 2011.
  • Enter only ONE project.  Your entry can have multiple components to it.

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original, has never been posted on Craftster, or made by anyone else in the past.  But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, please give credit to that project. Smiley

At the end, we'll set up a poll right here and the first place winner (US or non-US) will get:

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog
(3) and a prize from us at Craftster.org -- any one item from one of Craftster's online shops!

Hmm... I think there's a way I can make this relate to a final project I'm doing for school...  I just don't know if it will turn out to be awesome enough.

This looks like an awesome challenge! Smiley

I can't wait til I've been here long enough to participate in some things.
