I found a lot of cool ideas surfing the internet.  I also picked up some metal stuff from the thrift stores.  I wish I had been prepared this past weekend.  Garage sales have started!!

Can't believe I was walking through the park and found something perfect to use! What a happy moment Smiley

I thought I was out of copper wire, but turns out I wasn't! I have a pretty good idea of what I want to make now, just hope it is chime-y enough in the end. I'd hate to put in a lot of time and have to tear it all apart because it doesn't make any noise.

I've been collecting bits and pieces of things I would like to add to mine. Finally got a chance to go thrift storing and found a great base for everything to hang from! Ohhh, I hope my partner likes it Grin

I received from arachnes thumb on friday, but won't be able to post pix til tomorrow or so- my area  has been hit with horrible weather, lots of flooding and tornadoes, so I've been dealing with that.  Let me just say that her package was such a ray of sun for me!!! It is beautiful, and I absolutely love it!  I hoe that once our weather is better I can finish hers.  Thanks, Teri!!!

I have most of my materials.  Instead of just using what I already had, I made the mistake of deciding what I wanted and then going to the thrift stores and garage sales looking for this one particular item.  Apparently thrift stores (at least the ones in my area) do not carry items that are considered noisy because they do not want to be anoyed by kids playing with them all day.  No luck at the garage sales either.  Next I will be raiding my niece and nephew's toy box.  My sister in law has 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl. They are sure to have every toy in every color.  I am excited to put everything together and see what sort of sounds I can make.  My husband is a musician, so we will have lots of fun with that part.

We have had bad weather too, lost power twice.  Wishing everyone blue skies and nice calm breezes with which to test your mobiles and chimes.  I can't wait to see the gallery fill up!!

sounds like you've been busy, roniwink! =]  And having fun, with the project, anyway.  Sorry to hear about the weather...and is the flooding down there nearby??  I hope not! We are in sandy area and the water drains right off.  But we've had enough wind to keep the chimes busy... Wink
