Or, to be more precise, dirigible plum earrings. I'm going to the midnight showing of the Deathly Hallows Pt. II and I wanted to look like the huge HP nerd that I am, so I decided to go as Luna. This is the only finished part of my costume so far.

They kinda took a long time, but I am very happy with the result. Much better than my previous attempt during which I used way too big beads. I tried to get them to look as close to the ones in the movie as possible, and I think I did a pretty good job.  Roll Eyes During the hunt for a good screen shot, I found out that Evanna Lynch, the actress who plays Luna, made the ones she wears herself! Now if that doesn't inspire you, you need to go see a doctor.

I already posted this on my blog, and I really don't want to have to go through the whole formatting thing again (it took me about a month to get it right!), not to mention the fact that I haven't posted ten times yet so I can't post pictures anyways, so I'm just gonna post the link to the tutorial.  Grin For the tutorial for these earrings click on this nifty blue highlighted text.
