A couple of weeks before Christmas, my husband and I saw The Big Lebowski for the first time as a part of a local movie theater's cult classic series.  Needless to say, we thought it was an awesome movie and wondered what the hell had taken us so long to see it.  I also decided my husband, who loves coffee and is a fan of vodka, would probably be also be a fan of The Dude's iconic drink.  So, I decided to embroider him this tea towel along to go with a little bottle of vodka and Kahlua as a stocking stuffer for Christmas.  The funny thing is, I couldn't sneak away before Christmas to the liquor store, so I called my mom and asked her to pick the stuff up.  They didn't have the small bottles, so she just went ahead and got two BIG bottles.  So instead of having "stocking stuffers" my husband got two "stocking besiders" with the tea towel draped over them! He thought it was Very Dude.  He continues to abide.

I used the Sublime Stitching Epic Alphabet pattern.  I bought the pdf instead of the iron on and it worked out really well.  Instead of physically cutting them, I just cut and pasted from the pdf onto microsoft word and re-sized as I wanted, printed it out and then traced the image using their carbon tracing stuff.  It worked like a charm!

I know...I don't know why we never saw it until know.  A friend that I've known for a few years actually apologized for not bringing it to my attention when she found out this was the first time I saw it!

I already feel like I need to see it again just to fully appreciate all the witty dialogue.  We're planning on having a Big Lebowski party at some point soon. We're going to invite people to come wearing their bath robes.  I'm thinking bowling themed decorations, lot's of White Russians (of course) and themed food.  Maybe sugar cookies with frosting to look like bowling balls.  I'd appreciate any other suggestions people had for themed food!!
