Margiej did an amazing job on my quilt!  She combined my themes of nature and Volkswagen and came up with this beauty:

Close up of the VW Bug

Look at that thread painting and reverse appliqué!

Close up of the grass

I love these tufts.  Just the right amount of 3-dimension.

Close up of the tree/leaves

This just adds the perfect amount of fullness to the quilt.  I also love the fabrics she chose.

If you couldn't tell, I absolutely LOVE it!

Sorry the pictures are crappy.  I was waiting for some sun, but it doesn't look like it's coming out anytime soon.  I figured I should get this posted, since I received it on Friday.  Unfortunately, I'm sending late due to a nasty sinus infection, but it will be in the mail tomorrow.

Thank you so much again, margiej!

Margiej - wow, that's a great quilt.  Your thread painting is fantastic.  Love the tree's leaves too.  Well done, young lady!!  (we are young--don't forget it!) Cheesy

Wow the quilts coming on this thread are amazing!

I especially love the beatles one. I'm a fan! The idea of doing the circles is really fun and unique.

Space fabric! I was just checking out those universe panties and now this quilt appears. Wow, super spacey theme on Craftster these days. Is that universe fabric custom printed? It's tres groovy.

sloth asked me about the fabric too, so i wanted to clarify: the 3 space "scenes" are actually printed on printable fabric.  i asked sloth which were her fav planets/space objects, and she gave me some great direction with "hubble telescope pics".  so i tried to use 2 of her actual favs and then another i found online, printed them, and then pieced them in with the rest of the actual fabric Smiley
