So, my lil' bubba loves him some Blue's Clues and so I decided to make him a little Blue for himself! I've only ever made a couple of amigurumi and this was my first time making one from my own head. I ended up using a modified version of this puffy heart for Blue's cheeks, but everything else was a trial and error for me ^_^ I couldn't get her open eyes to look right (boo!) and so I decided to simply go with closed happy eye Blue.

Here's her back showing off most of her spots. I really got good practice with creating magic circles with this project! For her body, I tried making an egg shape while keeping her belly round and her back straight-ish. There was lots of frogging to be had in creating the shape so I stopped trying to write the pattern for it. Basically, I started out with a normal sphere shape to the size I wanted her butt to be, then marked off 1/3 of the round. I started creating a gradual decrease within that 1/3 (to get the flat back) and maintained the normal circle stitching for the other 2/3. To create the neck, I started doing a gradual decrease around the entire circle until I got the neck to the size I wanted it.

Here she is enjoying a healthy snack of cinnamon goldfish, yum!

And a picture to show her size against my 2.5 year old boy. She's trying to comfort him as he's not been feeling too well for the past couple of days and is in quite a mood Sad

My favorite part about her is her floppy ears!
"Now it's time for so long! But we'll sing just one more song. Thanks for doing your part, you sure are smart! You know with me and you and our friend, Blue, we can do anything that we wanna do!"
