I have to say I was a bit relieved to see that the twins weren't as depressing as I remembered them. Maybe it was just that in the flash photo their exhibit is a bit cheerier than it was on my rather underlit work-table! Amaryllisroze, can you post a photo of the back? I forgot to get one before I sent.

The tiny skeleton wasn't made of polyclay as I'd first intended, because I found it too hard to work with at that scale. I ended up finding tiny skull beads the right size, and built the rest of the skeleton out of other materials. The spine is made up of small flat beads with tiny punched paper disks as spacers, the ribs watercolour paper, and the limbs I carved from balsa wood. A coat of gesso made it all work together.

I'm not really that creepy, usually!

Wulf

OH!  Millie and Christine - poor things!  No one she be so mistreated and neglected.  Love the sad creepiness of it all.  Are those bars welded on?  Awesome!

wulf, when I was looking at Millie and Christine, I didn't think they were creepy at all, just terribly desperately sad.

I like that. A lot.  Cheesy And I love the cover of the tin -- dark grim lusciousness.

And the overall design of the lighted (lighted!) Medusa tin really floats my boat.

As to the size of Knickertwist's entry, lolol.  You may have noticed that my avatar has me holding a tiny house.  I started including at least one pic with a hand it for all my houses, why?

Because a friend of mine (who works in the same scale), once had to deal with a cranky-confused customer who had purchased one of her houses thinking (after looking at a dozen pictures) that it was a full-sized (1/12th scale) dollhouse. lol

So just for Knickertwist:

You guuuu-uuuys!  It was so quiet here in the gallery for awhile so I trained myself to stop maniacally clicking the REPLIES TO YOUR POSTS button and now I'm pages and pages and photos and photos behind!  ACK!

Sigh.  For starters: Holy Sense of Scale, Knickers!  I love how sneaky this is!  Oh look, it's tiny!  Oh look, it opens!  Don't look; she's falling!  I also just love the little canon.

Goatgoddess: LIGHT?!  For crying out loud, that's grand!  I love how you arranged for the stage and that the audience area (orchestra pit?) can be used by alteredmommie for stowing things!  And I'm enamored of the black and white stripes, too.

Wulf: So dark and lovely.  Sigh.  The swirlies at the opt of the bars are just fancy enough, just spare enough.  I can't for the life of me figure out where the spot that needed something was.  After reading about how you made the skeleton(s), I can't help but think you might actually be able to make a live being from a collection of carcasses.
