So I've found books on project Gutenberg on needlelace, and I'm ready to start my own project. But I want it to be of my own design, and am having problems getting started.  Huh

Is there a general easiest size for the elements in a pattern? Do the designs all need to connect so you don't pick up the "foundation" thread? Does it really have to be basted onto a pillow?  Undecided

Needlelace isn't the most common hobby, and any general guides, pitfalls to avoid etc. would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.  Grin

LOL, I so had to Google what needle lace is!

Anyway, I found a tutorial series that looks SOOOO interesting, I might have to give this needle lace thing a try myself!!!

I've started needlelace too! I'm just going to town and making samples right now.  But I'd love to hear if anyone has advice too!
