Love that bag!

« Reply #81 on: March 31, 2011 06:35:43 PM »

My package from Ivagrovegirl got here today and it was fabulous.

Here's the whole lot. Three books, a cross stitched bookmark, bag and hoop.

Here's a close up of the cross stitching on the bookmark and on the bag. The bookmark has the beginning of the Mark Twain quote stitched into it. She also cross stitched my name on this tote bag which will be perfect for carrying all of my school things when I go back and forth to Cleveland.

This is probably my favorite. I was hoping to get my first hoop in this swap and I did. It's so gorgeous. Now I just have to find the perfect spot to put it.

And last but not least, the books. First out of the box, The Princess Bride. I love this book but I don't have a copy of my own and now I do. Next I found The World House by Guy Adams. I started this at the doctors office and it looks like it's going to be a great read. Last but not least, Bizarre Books: A Compendium of Classic Oddities. This book is completely hilarious. It's literally a list of hilarious book titles.

Thanks so much Ivagrovegirl for the awesome swap. I hope you like what I've sent you.   Cheesy

More great packages!! Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet was an AMAZING book. And the author is a super-nice guy too. Have tissues ready.

Super duper packages!
And you know what? There were things swapped that I would have never thought of. Those companions are so clever. Just so many different ideas!

I thought I would post a pic of the earrings I sent clumsy-momma as well as a better pic of the paper beads:

That hoop is super cute, I just recently did some crossstitch lettering of my own and boy is it a challenge.  Good job, it looks so even and lovely.

I received from devotedplanet! (A little worried that my parcel hasn't arrived with her yet though?) It sounds silly but I'd forgotten that I was actually getting a parcel too - I took a few seconds to understand why the big red parcel van was parked outside!

Onto the pics: (taken with phone as camera broken Roll Eyes)
All together

Detail shots (I'm sooo looking forward to reading these books, the vampire one looks interesting!)

The gorgeous crocheted bookmark is already in use. And if anyone can't see the writing on the pendant disk, it's an extract from 'His Dark Materials'  Smiley And see the tiny handmade book - it's only about 5cm tall, so cute!

Thanks x

I have been playing around with my camera for a few days now...Trying to take pictures inside and outside. They either look like a ball of white or dark, so thank you rosyposie for posting those pics for me.
