Wasn't sure where else to put this so I guess it goes here. Its not really clothing and not really for the house.  I originally put it up in misc crafts but...no one seems to care so I thought I would try here.

So I decided that to make gardening  easier when it came time for planting, I needed an apron to be helpful. Found the right one in One Yard Wonders then went to my stash of fabrics. The right one immediately leaped out at me. I got this mushroom fabric in the fabric market in korea, and now that i have made something with it I want more and cant find anything similar  Cry  any ways I just followed the instructions from the OYW book and it was super simple to put together.

Sorry the pics are so bad used my phone's camera because I couldn't find my nice camera. Hopefully better pics to come. The only hard part was putting on the binding. I was using 1/4" when I realized I was supposed to use 1/2" but I didn't have any. SO for now Ill rock this, but when i get the bigger size binding i will put it on and it will be perfection.

It has two levels of pockets, the top level divided into two larger pockets on the end and one smaller on in the middle perfect for holding a paintbrush or pens and pencils or something narrow of that nature. the second lower pocket is pretty big, its hard to see but it has two pleats allowing for much stuffing of goodies Smiley Dunno if I will include the pleats next time because all of the gaping, Ill have to see how useful it is. then it also has two loops for holding tools.

I am very pleased with this, perhaps just because its spring or because I just <3's the fabric. Please let me know what you think.

This is a great idea!  I'm constantly setting stuff down.. an apron would definitely help my scattered brain keep me organized.  Good job!  The fabric IS cute  Smiley

Yea I never understood aprons that didnt have pockets so I used to always use my teaching smock which did have pockets, but this one is way better. and tool loops...so very happy with it.

Now that spring is coming here, an apron with lots of pockets would be a great help!

Very cute! I also like the idea of being able to carry a cell phone out in the yard without losing it! Cheesy
