I was shopping the Goodwill racks and found this fantastic umbrella print blouse...it was styled about 40 years too old for me though.  BUT I couldn't pass umbrellas (I have a bit of a collection of umbrellas, they just call out "open me and twirl me around" *sigh*).  And this print was so full of color, I love color!  So a little chop-chop and stitch-stitch and tada...a retro styled blouse that I can wear and feel great in rain or shine.

I pinned my hair up and wore this to church Sunday. (Sorry you can't see the two hair pins on the side there...I made them using old type writer keys)

I didn't have to do too much to achieve the look I wanted.  I chopped off those frumpy sleeves then used them to make little ruffles to peek out.  I'm still debating if I want to change the buttons.

Very cute!
The buttons currently on it are nice, but I think black ones may go with the print a bit more.
