I have been super busy with company in town and a little life drama that *hopefully* won't come to anything...

So busy that I totally forgot to ship out a claim to A2K!!  It is going out today when I ship my other packages.

*hugs* mimiw!

I am getting annoyed... I just found out I have to make a flower girl dress for Zelda to be in my husband's cousins wedding in June (I have never met this cousin, I think there was pressure from my husband's grandparents), she wants something white with deep sea blue accents, she said just to make whatever style dress I think Z would look cute in, but she didn't give me anything else to work with... I don't know what "deep sea blue" means or what she might have in mind, it's very frustrating.  I want to make something SUPER easy with fabric that isn't going to make me angry every step of the way so any pattern suggestions or "special occasion" fabric suggestions (especially those) would be super helpful!  I don't know any wedding details, but I assume it's going to be in a church.  I don't even know for sure that Z will be walking on her own by then (but it seems very likely, she's ready)... :/  My April/May/June are just becoming insane and I am already stressed about it.

Ditto hugs for mimiw!

ZS - how about a cotton eyelet with a blue sash?  Something like this maybe?

Hugs to mimi!

zelda, if you don't feel like making one, check ebay. That's where we got our flower girl dress for our wedding and it cost about $20. Here's a blue one I found after a minute of searching (just search for blue flower girl dress) - less than $15 after shipping. Plus you can show the bride a photo before you buy it, so you'll know she'll be happy with it. Just a thought!  Wink

THAT is an awesome dress, AQ!  You are too smart, you know that?  Cheesy  Looking at a trip to the lower peninsula next week to spend a few days with my friend who just had a baby in early March.  Maybe we can hook up?  I'll PM you!

Hope everything is ok Mimi.

Try not to stress Zelda.  Hopefully she can send you a color swatch just to make sure it matches up.  Ptarmic made 2 lovely flower girl dresses for me.  I don't remember which Simplicity pattern I sent her, but it was simple and elegant.  Do you remember which Ptarmic?

atsuko, how many bingo cards did you need?  I think I can rustle up 20 Smiley
YAY!  That would be perfect!

Thanks y'all Smiley
It isn't anything major and everything is fine - just DH's work stuff.  And if you know anything of the last 5 years of our life, you can probably guess what they are trying to get us to do...again.

mimi, maybe you could get one of those luxury rv's.....

atsuko, was it the one with the photo of a girl in a garden on the front?

I am doing laundry and playing with batik wax. I gave in and got a mini deep fryer for the wax so I can use real batik wax and not just soy wax.  I am playing with color overlays on small samples, so most will probably end up in my shop at some point.

My new employer just lost a recompete, so it looks like we will be moving over to the winning entity (this mostly involves paperwork and complete changeover in benefits, usually most everyone keeps their jobs). So I will have to use up all my leave before the switch, which may be pretty soon. Hmm.....
