What about making the wings out of heavy cardboard so you have the base to work on
rather than trying to work in fabric as well. or use black tights to form the wings and glue your
feathers onto that.

painting the board solid black, then painting in some feathers with the silver higlights
and then adding smaller feathers on top or you could use cheaper boa and cut it up and glue
down the fluff.

this would  give you more of a feather fluffy look.

you could always go to the country and chase some chooks around till u get enough..LOL Smiley

hope this helps a little

good god those are some sparkly panties..  :O

I just had a little flash in the pan idea-- why not get a couple of feather boas (you can get them for about $10) and use the feathers from those to make your wings?

The earth, stained with the blood of a thousand dying soldiers, weeps as she welcomes them home.

i feel my fate in what i cannot fear

I have a pretty cool pair of wings I got from Spencers. If you're running out of time, you could always try going to a costume shop. In fact, it might be a good idea to go there and look at the wings they have to get some ideas for building.

Maybe if you have a schwank Vickie's Secret nearby you could try to borrow wings from one of their mannequins. A long shot, but hey.  Undecided

buy a pair of smaller than you want already made ones, then wip down to your local craft store a pick up some feathers then add them on with a glue gun untill their big enough/personalized enough, also you could get some sheer fabric to attach to the bottom to make the dangley bits. hope that helps
