Great idea. Been madly searching for appropriately sized tins ever since I saw this....it also inspired me to decoupage the divided box I store my meds in

Thanks for this awesome detailed tutorial! I'm going to try my first attempt at an altered tin in a few days. If it turns out decent enough then, I may post it in a separate thread Smiley

I am sure I'm not the first or only one thinking this... but this would work so awesome with making a Tardis (from BBC's Doctor Who)

*thinking*..... great the wheels are spinning!! Cheesy *heads off to look at paper scraps*

Now if only I could bring myself to eat the Altoids to get the tin....

Try the Cinnamon ones! If you really can't stand them, you can buy blank tins onlineSmiley

Its been a long time since anyone has commented here. I still use these directions (now memorized) for altering tins. Ive made close to 35 of them. As gifts, to sell at holiday craft shows, just for the art of it. Theyve become my favorite way to gift gift certificates. I always recommend this tutorial as the best tutorial for covering the tins.  As a matter of fact Im back today to find a link to post it to a Facebook group for a challenge. Havent figured it out yet, but just wanted to stop and say hello and let you know someone is still enjoying something you taught me.
