It looks like a pretty standard pixie hat.

There's a free pattern here that would probably work with a few modifications (leave off the pompoms, and maybe do a couple of rows shorter):

You could probably search Etsy and come up with some great (paid) patterns as well.

Thank you Kirsa. I found a similar pattern and created the hat, which I posted about on my blog: http://insprink.blogspot.com/2011/02/glee-inspired-quinn-fabray-crochet-hat.html but it still doesn't have the ribbing effect and small nubbin at the top  that I'm looking for. I even searched on Etsy and I found one paid pattern, but it still wasn't quit what I am looking for. I think I gathered enough tutorials that I'm going to do my best to mix and match. We will see how that goes  Wink Thanks again for your time. I really appreciate it.

I'm not sure if this will help... You can create the ribbing effect by crocheting only in the back loop.  However, to do that in your pattern, the ribbing would be horizontal and not vertical like Quinn's hat.

You could make vertical ribbing by getting creative with alternating front and back post crochet.
