Sorry for being so terrible at keeping up with my threads! I finally figured out how to turn on the notification thingy. =)

DreamyDahlia, I'm excited for you! I love wire! Gauges and hardness can get confusing, especially when you're first starting out.

My huge hands might have something to do with the perspective of the wire in the pictures, or perhaps the flash. Your supplier also might be contributing to confusion about your wire. Some packages don't have gauges marked clearly, if at all. It's also important to know the exact hardness of your wire. If you're a beginner and your package doesn't specify if the wire is soft, half-hard, or hard, you could be in for trouble depending on your project.

The wire I used here is ordered as "hard" from the supplier. It doesn't shape as easily as you'd expect, and it gets even stiffer when you make those bends due to work hardening, which makes those links super strong. If you're not sure of the hardness of your wire, you could end up working with soft or half-hard wire that just won't cut it as a finished chain.

Hope I helped! Let me know if you need anything!
