i raided daddys music room and glue gun and came up with these!
the neclace and matching bracelet - not pictured - was just made from various washers and treasury tags meant for homework!

and this is a barrette thing, it didnt come out too well pictured but hey, it lookd better in real life! just showing these because i think they are pretty cool!

i also found a lame pink and gold plastic belt buckle and spraypainted it black and then stuck on the things in the same fashion! i just need to find a suitable material to use to make a belt now!

hope you like them - comments/critisisms really appreciated  Smiley

That's so funky and cool! I love it! I like jewlery made from unexpected items!

Those look great!

For the belt I'm thinking the fabric part of those ratcheting straps that folks use to stabilize items on top of a car/in the bed of a truck/on boats.  They look like really thick grossgrain ribbon, comes in a couple different colors/sizes/prices depending on where you buy it. (You can find it in home improvement stores, auto part stores...) You can see a few examples here:

I seem to be having trouble getting the link above to work, (it goes to an off-craftster page).  Here's the web page address: americanratchetspecialties.com

or maybe one made of washers like this necklace:

I did that too! I used a washer-type thing (my dad said it was called a slug ) and i put a pink buterfinger wrapper on it (ya know, the ones that cover those little chocolate easter eggs) and I glued a jump ring on it, and put it on a cord! Yet I still haven't worn it  Wink

The heart may freeze or it can burn
The pain will ease if I can learn
There is no future
There is no past
I live this moment as my last
There's only us
There's only this
Forget regret
Or life is yours to miss
No other road
No other way
No day but today

ah!  I just hit "report to moderator" instead of reply!  I hope nothing bad happens!  *EMBARASSED*  I'm still in LJ-mode.   Undecided

Those are cool!  Are they heavy?  I would think it would be hard to hold together with a glue gun.  I would probably weld them myself.  They look GREAT!
