My girlfriend's mum bought me a paper-making kit for Christmas and I've only just got around to giving it a try.

This paper is about half and half brown and white paper from the recycling bin.  I've added raffia, garden twine, rose petals and some purple embroidery thread.

This paper is made from white paper, blue dye (came with the kit), red chads (the bits made by hole punches - I was so happy to learn this word!) and various red, gold and blue threads.  I held this paper up to the light to take this picture.

This is a beginner's kit so it only makes these little discs of paper.  I'm having loads of fun producing them but I'm not sure what I'll do with the finished products yet.  I'm tempted to make my own frame so that I can produce larger sheets of paper.  The kit isn't really necessary if anybody else fancies a go at this - all you need is the frame (I'm sure it has a special name) and some scrap paper.  I've added all the bits and bobs from my own stash.

wonderful, I have started to make my own paper but never used rose petals, mostly because I don't have any right now.

I love the papers, the first one and the blue one are especially pretty Cheesy

Just a thought:  you can add seeds!  Then, when you are done writing on the paper (or using it for whatever you wish), you can plant it!  Yea, recycling!  Wink

At the speed I get around to using things it'd probably start taking root in my stash.  It's a lovely idea, though, I might well try it.

Thanks for the lovely comment, imera.
