Hi, I am new at sewing, but long time crafter. A co-worker of mine was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer and the company is having a fundraiser/benefit for her. It consists of a raffle and silent auction.

I want to contribute some items, but I am not sure what people would want as well as what I am capable of making.

What are some ideas that would be popular at a silent auction?

Thanks for any help!

A handmade apron together with a basket of nice cooking supplies (wine and crackers would be a good start) would probably go over well.  If you know how to knit or crochet a shawl or hat/scarf set would be nice.  What other sorts of crafts do you know how to do?

I like the apron and kitchen goods idea.  Also what about things like a picnic basket with some goodies, wine, and a roll up blanket, and napkins you made.  Agree with the shawl, or scarf, hat set.  Christmas ornaments, or seasonal wreaths - depending on when it is.  Jewelry too - like a charm bracelet or a set.  Are there a lot of kids?  What about a kid friendly or kid-oriented item - nap blankets, dress up ite,s, a movie with some dress up items related to it (a cape, wand, and House scarf with Harry Potter for example).  A movie night in package - decorated bowl, with some popcorn, flavourings, napkins, drink mixes, and a GC for movie rentals or to buy a movie.  Etched glasses, and pitcher for iced tea or sangria.  Decorated travel mugs and a GC for the local coffee place.  Decorated kitchen canister set and potholders/trivet.
