This room was one of the most exciting rooms Ive ever done.  It was for my brother and sister-in-laws first child.  What made this room so much fun was the fact that my brother and I were the only ones to know that they were having a girl.  So I got to paint in secret.  My sister-in-law knew I was painting a under water scene for the baby's room but had no clue and never peeked till she brought home her little princess.  It was such a great surprise. Also each family member picked a fish to represent them.  So she is always surrounded by her family.

That is the coolest kid's room I've ever seen! You have some mad mural-painting skills! I bet it was hard for you not to have your sis-in-law peek at it, too! I love the castle in the background but then the coral reef rocks are beautiful as well Smiley And Ariel is just spot on! I can't really pick a favorite part of the scene because it's all so well done! This is definitely one of my favorite projects I've ever seen on Craftster!

Beautiful work! I grew up with murals in my room -- first Winnie-the-Pooh, then a rainbow and clouds, and finally a sunset and palm trees -- which might have something to do with my current inability to look at any flat, vertical surface without thinking, "Yay! Another canvas!" Here's hoping your niece is similarly inspired. Smiley

OH MY this is fabulous.

I can't believe that Ariel is painted and not a stick on, you did such a fantastic job with the details.

You can come paint my room anyday.

Beautiful! I love murals, I really fee like I'm under the sea with Ariel just by looking at the pics! As always, I have questions. Smiley What kind of paint did you use, how long did it take, and what did you do with the ceiling? Fabulous job!

This is my signature; there are many like it, but this one is mine.
