I love making little "scenes" like this - but don't know what to call it? Free hand? Scene Crochet? hehe! I don't know!

what do you think?

I'm not sure if there's a name for it or not... it seems like a kind of sculptural, structured free-form to me.

Quick, write it down! I think you may have stumbled on the next new craze. There must be lots of sad little amis who would love a place to play. Smiley

I think it's probably freeform, if you don't work from a pattern and it's a 'doodle' in yarn. Lovely!

Hey thanks for all your replies everyone!! I think I like "scenegurumi." It is sculptural though, like fantasticmio pointed out.

I find myself getting pictures in my head lately and I need to sketch them down. Luckily I have an artist sister who helped me with the basics of sketching. All you really need is the idea and you can make it if you can single crochet!

Feel free to ask me for specific help if you're interested in designing your own sculptural scenegurumi Smiley

Shannon M: All you need is an idea Smiley I had no clue I could do this until the picture popped into my head.

For this one actually, I started off with that little stump by ana pauli... and the ideas started flowing from there. perhaps Choose an amigurumi pattern you want to try, then see where you can go from there!
