well, crafting did not actually happen yesterday as I had anticipated.  Instead, I cleaned and vegged.  Mostly vegged.  Twas nice  Smiley  I too will definitely get done in time, I'm just a last minute person and I'm grateful that our send out is in the middle of the week.

Sophieangele- WOW, that's pure craziness, I'm so sorry this happened to you!

Hockamamma- I can't even imagine what you've gone through in the last week.  You & your family are in my prayers as well.  I'm so truly sorry for your loss.

Hockamomma, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Hint for today:  I still don't think you are trying to figure out who I am and you talk less than I do here.

Hockamamma: I am so sorry for you loss, I cannot imagine  how painful this week has been for you. I will keep you in my prayers.

Sophieangele: Cat attacks are no fun. I've had my fair share of them through the years of working in vet clinics and animal shelters. I just hope the next few days aren't very painful for ya!

Hope to get more done on my large tonight...maybe...definately get some stuff done tomorrow.

Hockamomma - I am so sorry to hear about your mom.  I can't begin to imagine a loss like that.
sophieangele - ouch! Cat attack?  That just sounds horrid.  Is rabies a big thing over there?  I don't think we have rabies clinics here at all.

On a healthy note - Collin had his tonsils out yesterday and is doing very well.  He sort of slept the night through.  We still have our baby monitors but only use them if the kids are sick.  Collin coughed a bit last night and of course I woke up every time but I'm just happy that he didn't get up in pain.  I'm sure he'll be wanting those pain killers after he gets up and moving!

Crafty note - I did finish up a medium item over the weekend.  I have to say that since you and I do the same craft you will notice the big mistake I made but you'll understand why I didn't fix it and not care either consider how it is suppose to be used.  Consider it a character scar Wink
I won't be crafting for you today.  I have to get ready for my quilt guild meeting.  Tonight's demonstration is fun, easy four patches thanks to a Billie Lauder video I saw.  Probably not the best way to make a four patch but it was a fun way.  I hope the guild likes it.  They wanted a demonstration on freezer paper paper piecing and I didn't get it ready and won't be able to get that demo done in time....

Hinty hinty....
You are a reader, I am not.  I used to be but can't seem to find the time to pick up and finish a book unless it is a young adult book.  I still love to read to my sons. I read to Collin every night.  We just started the Shadowlands over the weekend.  I think after we finish off this series we are going to have to look for a new series to start on...

I am collecting quilts, afghans & blankets for those that lost their homes.  Pm me!

sophieangele - ouch! Cat attack?  That just sounds horrid.  Is rabies a big thing over there?  I don't think we have rabies clinics here at all.

There is rabies here, but it's not like there are animals foaming at the mouth or anything. The whole idea of rabies was new to me, as we don't really have it in the UK, which is where I grew up and used to live. What *is* a big thing here is street cats - insane numbers of them, I pass about 20 going to school every morning. And so your chances of getting bitten/scratched are higher. They don't think I got infected, it's just a possibility because they don't know the status of the cat, so as a precaution I have to go through the whole treatment. Also, the scratch happened on Friday night just after candlelighting for Shabbat, and by Monday night it had swelled up and gone purple, which is why I had to go to the ER, so they were extra anxious. It's now even more swollen because it's full of the type 1 vaccine, so I'm not having much fun at the moment Sad I feel like the human pincushion. But they said that the vaccine is 100% effective and so please G-d, in a couple of months' time I'll be in the clear. Rabies is such a serious disease, even if there's a only a small chance I might have been exposed, it makes sense to get the treatment.

Sorry about Collin! Hope he feels better. Is he your son/husband?
