that frosting was so easy to make!  and it tastes like marshmallows YUM.
it was a boiled frosting ( I have never done that, turned out awesome) and a ton of it.

I got it from here...    http://coleensrecipes.blogspot.com/2010/05/fluffy-white-frosting.html

Yours came out so bright! I love them!

A side note- I made these last St. Patricks day for my kindergarten students (I told them the leprechaun left the cupcakes for them) and one student took a bite and yells out "wow! I never knew rainbows tasted so good!" - if that is not the highest compliment, I don't know what is!

Oh LORD! These are just the vision of perfection. I have to (sheepishly) admit that if I ever had these on my table I would have a VERY hard time tossing out those muffin papers, LOL!

I made these for my friend's 30th birthday last week, but yours came out PERFECTION!  My first batch look like the cupcake version of the people from The Hills Have Eyes.

Oh my God... that made me laugh so hard.

Beautiful cupcakes!  I love the rainbow theme.

i love rainbow cupcakes, they always go down well, last year my brother asked me to make him a birthday cake to take to work to share with his colleagues
he requested rainbow cake
so i made 1 round rainbow cake, then completely covered it in buttercream and decorated the top with some sweets
his colleagues were amazed when he cut into it, many many photos were taken to show spouses and family members. a few people asked for the recipe, but i think more people were going to try and work it out themselves

I made these for my son's birthday (see avatar) and I agree, white icing is a must! I mixed colors, too, but next time I will use purple food coloring instead of mixing red and blue. It's so hard to get an appetizing purple!

I am going to make them for my daughter's Birthday tomorrow.  Thank you for the inspiration!
