This is the Granny Square That Ate Richmond.  I started and just couldn't stop. The more colors the better.  It started out as a project to use up some left over scraps, and I loved it so much, I had to go out and buy more "scraps" to make it bigger.  Most of these yarns are Red Heart Super Saver and Caron One Pound and Perfect Match.  Assistant Inspector Zoey is checking my work in the first image.

Now that's a great idea...I'm gonna have to buy more "scraps", though.......

That's beautiful. I love the colors. I tried to make a giant granny square once, but I only used one color. It was so boring and it felt like it was going nowhere. But using a different color for each row seems like a great way to keep it going and keep it interesting, like you can't wait to see how the next color is going to look. Smiley Great job!

Thanks for the kind words.  Kiss Kiss Kiss

One hint for making a giant granny is:  Don't start each new row at the same corner, or you may end up with a Giant Granny Swirl instead of a Square.

Thanks for looking  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Veggiechef, first and foremost, that is AWESOME! Cheesy
Second, I just wanted to mention that I also have a project inspector named Zoey, who is solid black as well! How weird is that?
Congrats on a fabulous project!

I started making chain mail jewelry in June 2011, and started my own company, Incendia Designs, in August 2011. I also crochet, act, sew (a little) and work for an awesome year-round haunted house!
