I received from lindzyt today and she chose to go with my themes "Art and Artists".

The ATC which has her favorite Picasso quote (you'll see it when she posts!):

All children are artists...

The art inchies:

And the Picasso-inspired dotee:

The face is made from paper clay (I'm guessing) and the nose is definitely a Picasso nose. Sorry, it's late and dark and I'm a crappy photographer anyway. Please post a better photo if you have one, Lindsey.

Such a great addition to my dotee collection - thanks!

Oh, and I found 1" Memory Glass pendants so I can make a 2-sided inchie necklace. It will be difficult to choose just 2!

In case someone can't see Dizzer's video of the items I sent her, here are a few pics. I know some work places block YouTube. Not that any of you guys are checking out the gallery at work *cough*.

Dizzer's dotee is on the right, the fairy. I've had that owl fabric for awhile and figured I'd go with a loose bird theme for my dotees Cheesy

Close up of the ATC, it's Luna Lovegood with a 3-dimensional sunflower tucked into her hair. I just couldn't stop fussing with the ATCs, lol. At first the flower was flat like the rest of the image and there was no gold inked border.

Inchies 1 & 2 - the Captain Hammer symbol from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (lord I love that movie, we need a swap inspired by that), and a robot

Inchies 3 & 4 - an octopus & a curly mustache

And of course here's the outside of the little portfolio I made to hold the inchies and ATC (inspired by Tristia's amazing work which makes my little portfolios look quite bland by comparison!):

Dizzer's is the one of the left. The ATCs are just tucked in with a bit of elastic holding 2 corners and the inchies were attached inside the little hand-drawn frames using repositionable scrap adhesive so their owners can remount them if they like.

Thanks again for an awesome swap everyone! I had so much fun with this and really loved getting to work on these crafts!

Co-Organizer's note for International Groups:

I am going out of town tomorrow morning and will be gone until around March 3. I will have VERY limited internet while I'm gone. Please PM Smmarrt when you receive or if you have any questions. If you don't PM Smmarrt you'll have to wait for me to get back before you get feedback and such, so it's very important.

I'm going to give feedback today to everyone in my groups whose packages have all made it to their partners and who have been good with communication.

Thanks for being understanding and sorry about having to switch things up on you guys.

See you when I get back!! Smiley

I received wonderful packages from HelmetWearer and SpiffyHink this week

From HelmetWearer -

A lovely Geisha lady dotee

and a fun set of ATC and inchies (watercolor I think)

From SpiffyHink -

A dotee busy reading about Amazing Stuff From Around The World (I have to figure out how to hang her from my bookcase Smiley ) She feels like a soft paper mache.

A butterfly ATC and floral/nature inchies -

And an assortment of paper extras

Thank you both for such great packages!  Kiss  Kiss

ThreadorYarn, I'm so glad you liked your package! The dotee was made from magazine strips that I glued down and painted over. I know that's not really what you had in mind when you listed the "Magazine strips technique," but that's what I was inspired to do when I saw it. All the other packages are looking great--I love the Picasso themed one!

And here, finally, are the packages I received from HelmetWearer and Ysmeine. From Ysmeine:

The dotee:

It reminds me of moths, which I love. And I wish I could get a better picture of the face, but my phone will not oblige Sad I believe it's made from glittery polymer clay.

The ATC and inchies:

Steampunk (!), a robin, and some beautifully dimensioned inchies, one of which I think I'll have to add to a necklace. They were all arranged in this nice handmade card:

I LOVE getting cards during swaps; I like to use them in my art journals in different ways!

And from HelmetWearer:

A happy little geisha who hangs smiling on my dotee board.

Space-themed inchies and ATC, OH SQUEE! I LOVE the spaceman, and, well, all of them really.

Thank you both so much! I enjoyed swapping with all of you!

I love the colors on the space themed inchies & ATC, they really pop!

I received two awesome packages over the weekend.

From Southern Flower Smiley

an adorable "Babushkas" style dotee

I LOVE her! She is the perfect addition to my dotee collection Smiley

Love all of them, but the fox is my favorite. So cute!

From lindzyt:

I can't get a good picture of the face. It's made from paper clay I believe, and is like a green man - surrounded by leaves. Love it!

Fabulous inchies!

Really. I am blown away by this ATC. The technique is far too subtle to photograph well. I LOVE this! LOVE!

The whole lot

The cute little dotee, I love her eyes

The fabulous 4

This blurry picture does not do this ATC justice (Love it)

Thanks Nobody.  I love em all.
