So, I have a mild (read: major) obsession with StumbleUpon and one day came across this tutorial for a quilted skirt http://www.crapivemade.com/2010/06/tumbler-skirt-tutorial.html.  This happened to coincide with two boxes of fabric sent to me by my mom and grandmother.  Coincidence?  I think not  Cheesy  And thus a quilted skirt was made!

It looks great! I love the dark hem, it really sets off the rest of the colors.

Very pretty!  I love the patchwork style and the colors you used are so lovely.  I would totally wear that.

Want to learn to crochet or knit?  I have a ton of extra crochet hooks & circular knitting needles.  Will throw in some pattern books and yarn for anyone interested in a swap.

I am making a skirt based loosely off the directions for this one (My trapezoids are different measurements)  It has been the easiest patchwork skirt I have ever made, and I have done several.  Love this!  Mine are 6" at top, 11" at bottom and working  out great!  I am on the 3rd and final tier.  This one will be about 26 inches long (I hope or should I say, I plan!)  It won't be as exactly fitted at waist as the one above, because my partner is not close enough to try it on, but I will put an elastic waist and it won't have all the bulk most patchwork skirts have.  I will make more like this!

Your fabric coordinate really well! I can't even manage that with actually quilts...
