my daughter started school on 1st sept and needed a PE bag. She had the option of a bought-from-the-shops one, but insisted mummy make one for her even though mummy's sewing machine is currently out of action. so, this is hand-sewn.

she picked the fabric; quite cute as her uniform is red too.

Wow.  They look great. And hand sewn too.  I would never have the patience for hand sewing.  I love the strawberry fabric.

Ditto najorama and bluelodge.

That is an impressive bag: no wonder she wanted one made by Mommy!

Hand-sewn, able to choose her own fabric, Mommy sew it while watching a movie: Mommy's pretty impressive.

Very well done.

Cute!  What a good mommy you are hand sewing!  I would've tried to talk my kids into picking one at the store! lol

I think I used that same strawberry fabric to make a maternity dress for myself, and if I ever get pregnant again I have enough to make a dress for the child I was pregnant with at the time so we could match. I know, I'm gay, but I love the idea of it.

Oh, and your bag is sweet, too. Wink I like the initial on it. Homemade is so much better than store bough. I bet it will last a long time!
