One of my friends just introduced me to an awesome etsy shop... I only wish they sold patterns, since I don't have $300 to spend on cross stitch, no matter how awesome  Tongue

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

>.< My bad! Credit goes to blue_lalita!! I should wear glasses when I read   And YES luckdragon, it's THAT one. It's what inspired me to try and attempt embroidery in the first place. It's why I'm here.

Wow, I'm so flattered!  Cheesy

I'm not sure if I'm going to participate in the next round or not.  I have a whole bunch of "me" projects on the line I want to work on, not sure if I'll have time to stitch 2 more hoops or not. I sure do love these hoopla swaps though! I love embroidery, it's great that it's had such a resurgence.

AWW those are EASY to do!! I can whip one up easy...no pattern required XD (Seriously.... cross-stitch is easier than embroidery). But I LOVE the first one! I had an idea to do one like that with a Beach Pin up girl and the men leering at her. It'd be great since I live in California on the beach  Cool
I love THIS ONE best of all!!! http://www.etsy.com/transaction/39601286?show_panel=true
OMG I could NOT do this without a pattern. It's the most life-like I've ever seen in a cross-stitch so small. O___O Totally BRILLIANT (just like House)!! Shocked

I haven't even finished the hoop for Round 3 and I'm already tempted to join Round 4!

I'm not sure though. I have a bunch of me projects that I'd like to work on. Maybe I'll sit this one out, and join Round 5! I guess I'll see how I feel after I finish dharma_rebel's hoop!

Round 4! Hooray! Just come back to Craftster after a long break, and instantly fell in love with the Hooplas. I'm so glad that there is a round 4 planned, I'd love to join.

Coincidentally, before reading this thread today I planned and started stitching my first hoopla for me, the first half of a diptych.
