Wow those look tasty but for my new years resolutions I'm giving up fried food for the month of January (part of my 12 steps to a healthy new me, one small thing each month.)

Thank you for this recipe! My mom is Dutch and she's always talking about the things her grandmother used to make, but the recipes that were actually written down and saved are very limited. I'll have to experiment with this and surprise her on my next visit ^.^

If Dutch girls can do anything, it's make pastries and damn good gravy!
