Next time take a pair of nail clippers instead of scissors. Does the job, and wont get taken away. I was surprised I was allowed to fly with my tatting needles, but hey, who knows whats okay on any given day.
I've had friends get nail clippers away too!

I really think that is all depends what kind of threats are out there at the time your flying...

Tweezers ..I haven't seen too many terrorists wielding that kind of ammunition !
Granted they do make your eyes water if pinching eyelids is envolved Cry

I don't even know why they were there ... Last minute pick up before I ran to not miss the plane I guess !

I can't get over the scissors though.
French/UK flights are so strict !!
everything in plastic bags, multiple molesting and what not. Shocked
