ScrappySue...you HaVe been busy!!  =]  I think it's great how much you get accomplished for the Uthando project! Tres Magnific!

Prairie points placed just so 5/8" apart and tacked down at the point about a quarter of an inch...sorry I don't know the CM equivelent!  Tongue  the back is it's own layerd quilt piece and 10" circle binds everything together w/bias strip! Voila...

*I'm feelin' French today!* Bon Jour, tout amis!

Been thinking about Christmas ornaments  again.   Here is a few thing made from the stash.  Used some fabric, ribbon, flowers and foliage and aligator clips to hold them on to the branches

and those Christmas ornaments look great, qazicat!
As much as I would like to ignore the idea for another month, it probably is a good idea to start thinking what I will be making everyone for Christmas this year, last year I made tea towels with owl applique, oven mitts and daughter made aprons. It was bags a couple of years ago. hmmmmm.

Yeah, I've been givng that some thought already as well, scrappysue.  I made PJ pants last year, and bought knit tops or tank tops from an outlet store to match.  One friend has a metal allergy, so I can't make her any jewelry unless I really cough up the dough for sterling or gold.  For Nicky's brother, I really don't want to make him ANOTHER pair of PJ pants...but I've heard tell he LIVES in them when he's hangin' at home...so....maybe I will anyway, but still give him something different as well.  I don't know of any other crafty things that I could make en masse for everyone that would be a good fit...towels and bags wouldn't work in my family so much.  I think I may have to do partial crafted, mostly retail this year...and on the crafted bits, they will not be assembly lined copies of different sizes of the same item (IE pants), but will be a tunic for this person, a something else for that person, etc.  I'll figure it out eventually!  LOL!

I really like the pj pants idea.
The bags I made where bags for shopping/groceries to save on using plastic ones, shoulder bags for neices and small handbags for sisters.
One year I made everything I gave, including Zombie survival kits for the nephews.

Last year i gave one nephew an old book that I cut out the middle of and made into a book safe, he really liked that and it was cheap as chips. I hid a small amount of money inside.

Can't wait to see your dishmat!
I have just made an craft apron and two other items for a swap, can't show you picks yet but pretty happy with results
