My inspiartion for this piece was actually an Octopus tenticle coming out of a wall!

http://www.etsy.com/listing/56638710/wall-tentacle?ref=sr_gallery_17&ga_search_query=squid+wall&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&order=&includes%5B0%5D=tags&includes%5B1%5D=title&filter%5B0%5D=handmadeHow cool, except, no one I know digs the squid. So I changed it to zombies (cuz come on, who doesnt adore zombies?)

My first step was to make the zombie hand. Which I constructed out of news paper, the cardboard roll thats left after you use all the wrapping paper, scotch tape, and liquid latex (left over from my Silent Hill Nurse costume https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=364250.0)

After I finished the hand I painted it with acrylic paints. Mostly Red, green and black to blend darker shades of the two.

I found a perfect frame at Michaels Craft store- it reminded me of a small window frame. My honey bought me a few planks of Balsa wood (very thin), and particle board for the back. Since I wanted it to hang on the wall it was very important to me that the finished product be light. The heaviest part was the particle board.

Then I attached an L bracket to the wrist with electrical tape. And screwed the L bracket to the particle board.

My hubs sacrificed one of his T-Shirts for the project. Then hammered the two pieces together.

There were a few touch ups that needed to be completed and I soon remembered why I hate super glue.

A big thank you to my honey for taking all the pictures <3

In all I think it turned out pretty well. C&C appreciated ^_^

VERY cool!  I saw something similar on etsy but it was a boarded up door that opened to show a painting of zombies.  It had bloodstains and such all over it.

I'm so utterly speechless, this is amazing!

"You listen to metal and knit?"
"Yea, so?"
"I don't know, just seems a little out of the ordinary"
"Who said I was ordinary?"

killer work. This is just something so different from what you see everywhere else and this is just cool! My Aunt said this site is great but this is a great piece of art I could have in my room!
