I made these for the Steampunk Ornament Swap (actually I made one for myself too, but I still need to get a picture of it!) and they were so much fun! I'd never really crocheted much with such a small hook before (2.25mm) but it wasn't as eye-wrenching as you would think! I bought the out of print pattern booklet on Amazon -  "American School of Needlework #1033, Christmas Ornaments & Snowflakes, by Mary Thomas" - I was so excited to find it! I found the ornaments at the Dollar Store (really the only place I could find plastic colored ones) and then added gears and watch faces to Steampunk them up a little more. I also sent some tea candy that looked very Victorian to me and some bottlecap ornaments (I need to upload those pictures too). Anyway, on to the pictures!

The only thing I don't like about them is the baskets don't hang entirely straight, I didn't notice until I finished and hung them up! Oh, and this was also my first time blocking something that needed a starch (I just watered down some tacky glue and it worked great!). So what do you think?

I believe in Sherlock Holmes! : Avengers Assemble!
